Laying the foundation for UX
As Head of UX at Benify, I established and led the company's first UX department. The assignment was to create the team, ways of working and strategic direction needed for more cohesive, user-centred product development.
Benify, now Benifex, develops a global employee benefits and compensation platform. Across many markets, roles and product areas, UX needed to become an integrated part of product development rather than an activity added late in the process.
I built and led a cross-functional team of designers and researchers, defined the UX strategy and introduced ways of working that improved collaboration with product owners and developers. The focus was on turning user needs into clear decision support while connecting design more closely to product innovation and business goals.
